  Brendan Huffman

  is the owner of Huffman Public Affairs LLC, a Los Angeles-based consulting business specializing in state and local issue advocacy, public policy development, association management, and strategic communications. Among his focus areas are coalition building, ballot initiatives and issue advocacy strategies for nonprofit organizations.

  Before launching Huffman Public Affairs LLC in 2008, Brendan distinguished himself as a “turnaround specialist” by reinvigorating two of California’s most influential business organizations. He served as President & CEO of the Valley Industry & Commerce Assn. (VICA) after overseeing the reemergence of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce’s public policy department for four years.

  Brendan is noted as being at the forefront of new media as it applies to public affairs. Besides being a frequent source for print reporters, Brendan has also recently appeared on FOX-11 news and KCAL-9 as a political pundit and commentator. Perhaps most impressive, however, is Brendan’s acclaimed public affairs show, Off The Presses, which streams live every Thursday morning featuring in-depth conversations with officeholders, journalist, academics and other leading voices. Its monthly listenership has reached 15,000 via iTunes and other sources.

  A UCLA alumnus and third generation Angeleno, Brendan resides with his wife, Tamar, and their two sons in the San Fernando Valley where he is involved with their local school and little league sports.
